Canada IRCC issues ITAs to only potential skilled immigrants by comparing applicants against each other based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
Excited to know about how the CRS system works and how points are allotted to candidates in the express entry pool then read this guide to know more.
What is CRS for Canada Immigration?
Canada’s CRS system is a popular points-based system that accesses and evaluates the profile in the express entry pool and allotted some points based on some factors.
The maximum number of points allotted is 1200.
It then ranks your profile against other profiles and selects the potential profiles with a CRS score greater than the CRS cut-off score and sends them ITAs to apply for permanent residence.
CRS considers 4 different categories to allot points to skilled immigrants.
They are:
-
Spouse or common-in-law factors
-
Core or Human Capital Factors
-
Skill Transferability Factors
-
Additional Factors
